The Imperial Cafe is under new ownership and is now called Imperial Deli Cafe. It's in the Imperial Centre building at the corner of Main Street and Sandiford Drive.
Every day brings new specials, some with a Mexican or Greek flair. Chili is a constant on the menu and there's always at least one excellent homemade soup. What's really nice is even if you order salad, it's prepared especially for you. While there are some sandwiches, wraps, veggies trays, fruit & yogurt cups, etc. already prepared (if you're in a hurry) everything can be made to your order.
The company I work for has also used the Imperial Deli for catering of sandwiches, cookies, etc. for meetings with clients and internal training. It's so convenient having them in the building.
There's a Service Ontario office, dentist, chiropractor, podiatrist, physiotherapists, etc. in the same building so it's really convenient before or after your appointment to relax with a coffee and pastry or a quick lunch.
Prices are very reasonable, food is fresh, tasty, varied, and healthy. What more could you ask for? -

This place is an office type cafe. The MTO office is within the same building. What makes this place one of my favourite "cafe" type places is the fact that 1) it is family run. 2) all the food is homemade 3) very cheerful staff and 4) very clean. I eat here at least twice a month and they offer homemade soups which I love. They normally have a special and that can be anything from roast beef sandwiches to curry to mexican. They offer all day breakfast. They also have a few sandwiches/salads/fruits/ puddings for take out. It is a little hidden. If you are in Town and need to visit an MTO this little place is worth a try. Get your val tag sticker and grab a bite. Also prices are very reasonable. about 7 dollars for an entree and soup.
